Jasper let his mouth fall into a slight smile when Alice offered him a sad smile. It was a smile, this he was happy about. But if it was a cheerful, happy-go-lucky smile it would've been much better. Seeing her happy as if she could accomplish anything the world set before her was how he would like to see her any day. The sad smile that danced across her lips now wasn't exactly what he wanted.
"Yeah. I hope so, too," Alice said and Jasper sighed softly. He pulled Alice slightly closer to him, wanting to make her happier again. What he would do to see her smile and laugh freely and not be so upset as she currently was. It was something he would manage to do, using whatever tactic he needed to use. Even if it meant reciting poetry for three hours straight he would do anything to hear Alice laugh again.
"Relax. You have nothing to worry about," Jasper said, kissing her forehead gently. He wasn't about to let her worry her head off. Not if he had anything to say about it. And he did. He didn't want to see her worrying every second of the day. He would much rather her be happy and joyful every second of every day--though that probably couldn't happen entirely. But it could for the most part.
"Cold Mountain," Alice said with a smirk and Jasper chuckled softly, awaiting his next 'question'. Truth be told, they weren't really questions more demands. Demanding him to tell her what his favorite item was for each topic she questioned him about. Not that he minded. It kept him entertained and awake, though he could never really sleep. It also let him get to know Alice. Eventually he would get around to asking her questions of his own, favorite scent and flower included. He could surprise her with flowers couldn't he? He did prefer to be a gentleman.
"Hobby," was Alice's next demand and Jasper had to pause on this one. He couldn't say hunting, Alice didn't know he was a vampire. He could say playing baseball, as that was a hobby of his, though they didn't play it often enough to be considered a hobby. No, when they played it it was all a game, not a mere hobby. What did that leave him with? Wrestling against Emmett, that was something but again she didn't know he was a vampire. Jasper thought this over for a few more moments, chuckling to himself when he finally found a good response.
"Reading books on the Civil War and kissing you," he said, grinning. He easily pulled Alice in for a kiss, letting her know just how much he enjoyed that. Whether or not it was a hobby he wasn't sure, but it was something he enjoyed. Very much. "Your favorite?" he asked in return. Surely he would be allowed to stop asking that, as it happened after every demand she had. She would demand an answer from him and in return he would ask her what her favorite was. Did he really have to keep asking that? Not that he really minded.
Jasper watched as Alice stared at her hands intently. She refused to meet his eyes, avoiding them for some reason. What was on her mind? "Where is this going? I mean, you know..." She said, not meeting his eyes. "Oh," was all Jasper managed to get out as he thought this over. Where would this go? Truth be told he had never really dated--never as a vampire and as a human he wasn't too sure. Then there was the fact that he was a senior and she was a junior which meant next year he would be off to college--though truth be told that wouldn't really happen. Throw all that in with being a vampire and you had yourself a very challenging response.
"Just incase you're wondering what my least favorite question is, it's probably this one," Jasper said, offering Alice a grin. He was still thinking of a response, but that didn't mean he couldn't joke around some at the same time. "Should we try dating? I mean, I think everyone already thinks of us as together, so why not confirm their thoughts. We can try it till the end of the school year. If we fall apart--which I pray we don't--we fall apart. If we stay together, we stay together. As for next year, well that we can save till we see how everything goes till the end of this year," Jasper said softly. He was willing to spend his entire life with her, but would that be safe for her?

Jasper's smile seemed to falter a bit, not quite as energetic as it had been before. Alice instantly felt bad. Why did she have to ruin Jasper's good mood simply when she was feeling down? She frowned. Maybe it was simply that way with him. Did he feel the same things others felt, as well as influence them? He sighed, pulling Alice closer to him. She smiled, closing her eyes contentedly. She didn't know if it was his little gift or not, but she couldn't help but feel happy around him. He made her feel like herself.
"Relax. You have nothing to worry about," Jasper said, kissing Alice's forehead gently. He seemed determined to make her feel better, and she laughed, "You're sweet," she placed her hand on his cheek gently, "Thank you. I really appreciate it."
Jasper chuckled at Alice's answer, and she couldn't help but laugh along quietly. Her stomach churned, but she managed to ignore it, for the most part. She would not let her illness affect her time with him. It seemed to take him awhile to think up a proper answer to give Alice, and she tried to stifle her laughter as she watched his face. Instead of answering with the first thing that came to mind, like most people, he seemed to enjoy taking his time in finding an answer, as if it mattered whether she approved of it or not. Finally, he replied with a grin, "Reading books on the Civil War and kissing you."
He pulled Alice in for a kiss, and she smiled as he did so. If kissing Jasper was considered a h0bby, it would undoubtedly be number one. Definitely. "Your favorite?" He asked in return, and Alice couldn't help but grin at him. He was absolutely adorable when he did that. Hopefully she wouldn't run out of things to ask him. "Well, other than drawing," she laughed, "I love to dance. And kissing you, of course," she replied, kissing him back.
"Oh." Oh? That wasn't a good sign. Was he not planning on anything like this happening? Was he trying to find a way not to hurt her feelings? "Just in case you're wondering what my least favorite question is, it's probably this one," Jasper grinned at her. She looked up at him now, frowning. Was he taking this as a joke? It certainly wasn't funny to her. "Should we try dating? I mean, I think everyone already thinks of us as together, so why not confirm their thoughts? We can try it till the end of the school year. If we fall apart--which I pray we don't--we fall apart. If we stay together, we stay together. As for next year, well that we can save till we see how everything goes till the end of this year," he said, his voice soft and smooth as melted butter.
Alice thought long and hard before answering him. "I don't know," she answered honestly, "I mean, I love being around you. I just don't know how you'd feel about it. And I don't like to think of falling apart, I hate imagining it." Yet, even as she spoke, she could see what it would be like without him now. Cold, empty, meaningless. He had to stay, she had to know he was there. Her stomach was doing nauseating backflips. "I know you're a senior and everything, but we'd still be able to see each other if we stayed together longer than a year, right? I-I just want to know," she said, looking up at Jasper with desperate eyes, "I need to know."
The churning in her stomach was now unbearable, and Alice sat up quickly, covering her mouth with her hand. Faster than a speeding bullet, she threw the blanket off of herself and ran for the bathroom. She ran into the small room, getting there just in time to shut the door behind her. She didn't want Jasper to see her like this. Without another word, she ran to the toilet and felt the familiar, burning sensation in her throat. She coughed and gagged, both surprised and disgusted that she still had enough of her stomach left to regurgitate.
Alice groaned, wishing with all her heart that Jasper hadn't been here to see her this way. She wanted to be happy, to truly talk to him as herself, without having to worry about ruining his clothes when she got nauseous. Ugh. She may get to spend the entire day with Jasper - a BIG plus - but at a BIG price. She hated being sick.

A frown was on Alice's face and in turn, Jasper frowned. Had he not just tried to remove that frown moments ago? Remove it from existence? Moments earlier it had been a sad smile, but it was sad none the less. Now he was trying to prevent any sad emotions and here Alice was, frowning. He could easily use his ability to make Alice happy, but he would never do that. It would be in some way false happiness, and he wanted Alice to be truly happy, not effected by him and his emotions.
Jasper's face lit up at Alice's laugh. It was great to hear her laugh again. She was happy that meant. And he wanted nothing in the world except for her to be happy right now. "You're sweet," she said, placing a hand on his cheek. He easily turned his head and lightly kissed her palm, turning back to stare at her after he had kissed it. "Thank you. I really appreciate it." Jasper smiled sweetly at Alice. "Anything for you," he said, flashing Alice a grin.
Jasper smiled at Alice's grin after he asked her what her favorite hobby was in return. What was she thinking? She was devilish from time to time, to say the least. She probably had something in mind for him and he wasn't sure if he should like it, or love it. He wouldn't hate it, this he was certain of. When it came to Alice it was either like it, or love it. And only those two options were what mattered when it came to questions and responses.
"Well, other than drawing," she began with a laugh. Jasper waited patiently for her to continue on, wanting to know what her other hobbies were. "I love to dance. And kissing you, of course," she said and Jasper chuckled. She easily kissed him back, and Jasper smiled against her lips. New favorite hobby was kissing Alice. Not even wrestling with Emmett could beat this hobby. "Of course," he said, his voice a whisper.
"I don't know," she began, honesty ringing in her voice. "I mean, I love being around you. I just don't know how you'd feel about it. And I don't like to think of falling apart, I hate imagining it." Jasper shut his eyes for a moment and nodded. He hated imagining them falling apart as well. It would be like Carlisle and Esme getting a divorce. That would never happen, they were perfect for each other. And that wasn't just talking about Carlisle and Esme. No, that included Alice and Jasper's relationship too. They really were perfect for each other. "I know you're a senior and everything, but we'd still be able to see each other if we stayed together longer than a year, right? I-I just want to know," she said, desperation in her eyes as she looked at him. Jasper let his eyes flicker back and forth from her eyes, lingering there for several seconds at a time. "I need to know."
"Alice I love being around you. Every little thing about you I love. You make sure I know that I am not to doubt myself when I do. You know how to make me feel alright when nothing is. One little look at you and I'm complete, even when the world is crumbling down all around me. I don't want us to fall apart. If you love being around me then don't be afraid to be around me. I'd love it if you were around me forever. I want to be with you for my entire life. No other girl has ever been as important to me as you are. I don't want anybody else," Jasper paused, looking away. He needed to catch his breath, and his composure.
"If I have to take college courses online next year that's perfectly fine with me. I will do anything to stay here in Forks with you just so you can be happy. I'd visit you every day, pick you up every day after school just to see your face. Help you with homework if you need it. Whatever you want me to do, I will do it. Anything to be with you, Alice, I will do," Jasper said, knowing he'd eventually regret it. She would become suspicious in time, or maybe she would find out. Then what? Change her, that was his only option.
Jasper watched as Alice jumped up, heading up the stairs. Raising an eyebrow, Jasper easily stood up, going towards where Alice was. The door to the bathroom was shut, and it was easy to hear Alice behind it. Throwing up. Well at least he didn't have to see it, but that had been a joke before. Now it was the real thing. "Alice?" Jasper said, tapping lightly on the door. "Do you need anything?" he said, shrugging though he knew she wouldn't see it. He didn't want to, but he would probably have to leave, let her sleep. She was sick after all and that's probably what she needed. Rest. Of course, he would easily sneak back in through her window if he did have to 'leave'.

"Anything for you," Jasper grinned, kissing her palm. Alice could not help but laugh again. He had such a beautiful smile. She wished she could stop time, to be able to see him this way all the time. She could not possibly bare to live without him now. She was his, whether he wanted her to be or not. She loved him, and there was nothing anyone could do about it.
She wished she knew what Jasper was thinking. He seemed like such a mystery to her, and simply asking questions just wouldn't do. She wanted to know everything about him, from his behaviors to his favorite activities to his past. She wanted to know all of him, and in return, she wanted him to know everything about her. She would gladly reveal all of her embarrasing mishaps, her childish secrets, everything.
"Of course," Jasper whispered beneath her lips. Alice sighed, wrapping her arms around his neck. Nothing could be better than this moment with Jasper. She loved kissing him as much - if not more - than simply talking to him. She was on Cloud 9, ecstatic when she was around him. He was simply amazing.
It seemed that he needed time to compose himself.
Alice could only stare at him in awe. This man could not possibly be real. He was saying all of the things she was feeling. "Jasper, I-I don't know what to say," she shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts, "You stole the words right out of my mouth. I don't think I could bare to live without you." She smiled at him. It was true; she could not bare to even think of it. It was too excruciating a thought to deal with.
"If I have to take college courses online next year that's perfectly fine with me. I will do anything to stay here in Forks with you just so you can be happy. I'd visit you every day, pick you up every day after school just to see your face. Help you with homework if you need it. Whatever you want me to do, I will do it. Anything to be with you, Alice, I will do," Jasper promised, and Alice grinned at him. She leaned upwards - she was still using him as a pillow - and kissed him roughly. "Ditto," she said. What else could she say? He'd already said everything for her. I guess I have a boyfriend now, she thought cheerfully.
"Alice?" Jasper's voice sounded just outside the door, tapping lightly. "Do you need anything?" Alice coughed. Damn it, she should have known he'd try to take care of her. "No! I'm okay. Just give me a minute." She called, waiting for it to end.
Finally, the pain stopped. Her stomach stopped fighting itself, and she gasped in relief. She flushed the toilet, moving towards the sink, rinsing her mouth with the water. She pulled out her toothbrush, happy to feel the familiar minty feeling of her toothpaste. She brushed quickly and throroughly, exhausted.
Alice exited the bathrom slowly, her eyes closed. She waited for the room to stop spinning before opening them, still a bit nauseated. She blinked a few times, adjusting to the hall. Finally, she began to stumble into the livingroom once more, breathing deep and evenly as she did so. Illness was a curse.

Jasper smiled as Alice wrapped her arms around his neck. His hands were easily around her waist, pulling her closer to him. She was his forever, and he didn't care what she had to say about it. He would willingly be hers forever as well, having no objections to it.
"Jasper, I-I don't know what to say," Alice said while Jasper attempted to regain control of himself. That had been a long, emotional 'pledge' he had given to Alice, and it was slightly hard for him to regain himself. There had been so much emotion, so much feeling, so much truth behind those words that it would take a few minutes to fully be stable again. "You stole the words right out of my mouth. I don't think I could bare to live without you."
"Next time I'll let you answer and steal the words from my mouth," Jasper said, grinning over at Alice. He was only attempting to lighten the mood some, though it seemed light as was. "As for living without you, I couldn't bare it. No. I would be miserable and don't want to have to ever live without you," Jasper said with a sigh, regaining himself once more.
Jasper smiled when Alice leaned upwards and kissed him roughly. He kissed her roughly in return, though not nearly as rough as she had. No need to make her upset or something. "Ditto," Alice said, and Jasper chuckled. "I should really stop stealing the words from your mouth, shouldn't I?" Jasper said, grinning. It was fun, but if Alice wanted to say anything herself he would have to cut back on it some.
Jasper shut his eyes, his arm leaning on the doorframe as he leaned against it lightly. He could hear Alice cough, waiting for her to say something. Anything. "No! I'm okay. Just give me a minute." she called back and Jasper merely nodded. "If you say so," he said, his tone quiet. He looked over at the clock. 11:30. Charlie would be home at 12, from what Edward had said. If you have a mind reading brother, it's always fun to ask him to read someone's mind. In this case, he needed to know when Charlie would be coming back.
He listened as Alice brushed her teeth, quickly but definitely thorough. Her eyes were closed as she exited the bathroom, and she just stood there for a minute. Her breathing was deep and even, and when she started to stumble Jasper merely shook his head. He easily lifted her up into his arms, knowing she wouldn't have a chance. "Charlie will be home in half an hour. I don't think he'd want to see me here. I'm going to have to go soon," Jasper murmured, not wanting to make Alice feel worse than she probably already was.

Alice smiled when Jasper's arms wrapped around her waist, and she deepened the kiss. She loved being with him, loved his personaliy, his looks, his scent. He was intoxicating.
"Next time I'll let you answer and steal the words from my mouth," Jasper said, grinning over at Alice while she laughed. "As for living without you, I couldn't bare it. No. I would be miserable and don't want to have to ever live without you," Jasper sighed, and Alice offered a small smile as he attempted to regain himself. "It's okay," she told him, "All guys are the same. You try to hide your emotions by being all macho," she smiled, "Don't worry about emotional stability around me. I can handle it."
Jasper kissed her roughly back. Alice chuckled into the kiss, glad that he was participating. "I should really stop stealing the words from your mouth, shouldn't I?" He grinned, and she shook her head jokingly, "I don't mind," she smiled, "You can steal my words all you want." And she kissed him once more.
As Alice reassured Jasper, she was sure she heard him say something along the lines of "If you say so." she stared lazily at the clock on the pale walls. 11:30. Wow. Jasper had already been here that long? Weird.
Jasper shook his head as Alice stumbled out of the bathroom, picking her up easily into his arms, as if she were as light as a feather. She closed her eyes, nearly falling asleep right in his arms, until he spoke. "Charlie will be home in half an hour. I don't think he'd want to see me here. I'm going to have to go soon," Jasper murmured, and Alice sighed. Jasper was right; Charlie would hate it if he walked in while a boy - a boy a year older than her, no less - was in his house. She didn't want him to leave, but she knew he would have to sooner or later. "Okay," she tried not to make her tone as sad as she felt, but Jasper would surely know what she was feeling, right? "Um, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school?" She asked. She knew he would most likely be there, so why would she ask? For reassurance? She didn't know, she just wanted to hear his voice again before he left.

Only Alice would deepen a kiss when he wrapped his arms around her waist. But that was one reason he loved her. She was willing to put herself full force into a kiss with just one little gesture. But this was Alice and he would take her the way she was, rather than change her in any ways.
"It's okay," Alice said, offering him a small smile. "All guys are the same. You try to hide your emotions by being all macho. Don't worry about emotional stability around me. I can handle it," Alice said and Jasper chuckled slightly. Another thing he loved about her: she didn't care if he had trouble regaining his composure or not.
"I'll have to remember that. Of course, I'm used to being macho and everything because I've never really felt this way for someone, so it may take time to adjust," Jasper said, smiling softly at Alice. He was used to being the only one without somebody in his family, so being able to let his defenses down was something new for him. Plus, he didn't have to regain himself quickly after he lost his composure, though it was a very bad habit now.
"I don't mind," Alice said, smiling. Jasper smiled along with her, knowing something mischevious was going through her mind. "You can steal my words all you want," she said, pulling him back down for anotehr kiss. Jasper chuckled softly against her lips at this, not even bothering to come up with a response back.
"Okay," Alice said, her emotions sad. He smiled softly at her, laying her down on the bed in her room. "Um, I guess I'll see you tomorrow at school?" she asked and Jasper shrugged. "I'll probably come by later around one or so, see if Charlie left or not. If he did, then I'll come back. If he's staying home, either I'll see you tomorrow or I'll bring over more medicine and say 'Carlisle's orders'," Jasper said with a grin. He kissed Alice gently once more before standing up. "Go to sleep. You need it," he said, before seeing himself outside and to Edward's Volvo. "Time to go wrestle Emmett," Jasper murmured quietly to himself when he was outside, a smile dancing across his lips. Finished?
