Alice was excited beyond words. It was a Saturday, and she was planning on surprising Jasper today. She'd gotten directions from Charlie on where they lived. Of course, she had to lie, saying that she went to check-up with Dr. Cullen, not meet Jasper. It was the only way to get him to cooperate.
It took awhile to find it, but as soon as she saw the house, her breath was taken away. They lived here? The house - well, more of a mansion, really - was enormous. One of the walls was nothing but glass, and the insides of the home looked to be as white as snow. Beautiful.
Alice approached the house slowly. What if Jasper wasn't here? What if Rosalie answered the door? She wouldn't be able to deal with that woman today. She knocked hesitantly on the door. Three quick, quiet raps. They probably wouldn't hear her, but a part of her was counting on that. She was beginning to get cold feet. What was Mrs. Cullen like? And the others? She'd only really met three of the family. What were they like?

Esme sat in the back garden under the typical clouded sky that shrouded the small town of Forks for most of the year. In her hands was a old Victorian love novel which elegant gold lettering reading. Misabells Calls The Love Of The Lost. Even though Esme had read the book many a time she still love to red the enchanted love tale over and over again as the book reminded her of her own relationship with Carlisle who at the moment was sadly at work.
Then Esme concentration was broke by a lite wrapping upon there front door. "Humm.... I wonder who that could be." She said placing her bookmark in the page before she slowly walked to the front door as to keep her charade of being human and not letting on the secret. She opened the door to find Alice stood on the porch who she hadn't really met but knew all about from Jasper.Oh Alice how lovely to see you please do come in. Esme said opening the door wider to allow Alice to pass."But I'm am sorry to say Jasper isn't in it's just me I'm afraid."Esme said with the warm motherly smile she gave all of her family.

The front door was opened by one of the most lovely people Alice had ever seen. She was a bit taller than Alice - everyone was - with long, elegant brown hair and gorgeous golden eyes. Her skin was as pale as Jasper's, and a heartbreaking smile lit up her face. "Oh Alice how lovely to see you please do come in." She said, opening the door a bit wider so that Alice could have easier access into the home. Alice smiled warmly back at her. She had never met the woman before, yet she seemed to know her perfectly well. Assuming this was Jasper's aunt and legal guardian, she extended her hand, "It's so nice to meet you, Mrs. Cullen. Um, is Jasper around?" She couldn't help but ask.
Alice stepped inside when Esme opened the door wider for her. "Oh!" She gasped, "Your house is lovely." "But I'm am sorry to say Jasper isn't in it's just me I'm afraid." Esme said with a warm, motherly smile. Alice's face fell a fraction, but she kept the smile in place. Oh, well. If she couldn't see Jasper, this was the perfect opportunity to meet Esme. A little bit of a one-on-one with her wouldn't hurt her chances, would it?

Esme's smile boarded when Alice enter and compliment her house as it felt like someone was complimenting her as, she believes that you house reflects your personality so this pleased Esme very much. "Why thank you Alice, this house is my pride and pleasure when it's not destroyed by Emmett tracking mud around it." Esme said referring to on of her adopted sons who quite often traipsed mud everywhere after he had been playing baseball or "camping" with the family.
Esme lead Alice over to the sofa's where the T.V was quietly playing the news that she had been watching earlier. "So I her you and Jasper have been getting alone quite well, and I'm glad that he has finally found someone as I was getting worried that he wouldn't" Esme said as she sat on the black leather sofa that contrasted with the white walls of her home which where also decorated with some lovely painting that Esme had collected on her travels.

"Why thank you Alice, this house is my pride and pleasure when it's not destroyed by Emmett tracking mud around it." Esme said and Alice couldn't help but laugh along. She'd seen the big one, Emmett, but had had yet to meet him properly. "I know the feeling. Guys," she rolled her eyes. She couldn't remember how many times she'd already fretted about the floors with Charlie. Every time she'd finally managed to get it clean, Charlie would choose that precise moment to return from work, tracking rain and mud in from the front door. She felt Esme's pain.
Esme led Alice into the living room, a large television playing the news as she took the invitation of the lovely pale sofa. "So I her you and Jasper have been getting alone quite well, and I'm glad that he has finally found someone as I was getting worried that he wouldn't" Esme said as she sat on the black leather sofa that contrasted with the white walls. Lovely paintings adorned the place, accenting it with hints of European culture in the room. Alice smiled at Esme. It must be one of many motherly instincts that emanated from Esme. Taking care of her children while finding a way to help them at the same time. "Yeah. He's amazing," was all she was able to get out. She couldn't help but be a bit nervous around Esme, worrying whether or not she would be accepted by her or not. She'd heard that boyfriend's moms could be a nightmare, and she was hoping tremendously that Esme was the exact opposite.

Esme smiled when she heard Alice comment about her adopted son as Esme too tough Jasper was amazing as he could always calm her like Carlisle could. But then again Esme though all of her adopted child where marvelous in there own way as everyone has different talents. Esme like Alice as she was friendly and kind unlike and unlike Rosalie Esme wasn't bother by the fact that Alice was human and still excepted her as part of her family as after all thats what she was now.
"Please do sit Alice and make yourself at home as now you are Jasper are together you are part of my family. So feel free to come around any time."Esme said in her warm, motherly tone as she gestured that Alice should take a seat to as no else was in. Esme king gaze rest upon Alice as she waited for her guest to ove in reply.
