Jasper strolled the massive Cullen house silently, lost deep in thought. He had no worries about restraining his thoughts, Edward wasn’t anywhere near the house. Edward and Bella had gone out hunting together—as usual—for the weekend, promising not to return till Sunday night. And it was only Friday night. Four out of the seven Cullens were busy at the moment, those four being the only one’s he could be certain were busy. Edward and Bella were busy hunting, and Carlisle was still busy at the hospital. Emmett, well he was preoccupied at the moment with another football game. That left himself, Rosalie, and Esme all unoccupied. Knowing Esme she was probably reading a book, but what Rosalie was up to he wasn’t sure. But that could all easily change.
The instant thoughts of going to visit his adoptive sister Rosalie had Jasper walking with silent footsteps towards his sister’s room. With everyone else busy, this would give him time to rekindle his bond with his sister. It had faltered slightly when he had met Alice and quickly and instantly fallen for her. Of course Rosalie wouldn’t like Alice, knowing she was a human. There had been arguing, something Jasper hadn’t really favored but knew had to be done. The two of them had to argue this out, it practically being in their personalities. Rosalie was stubborn and Jasper was extremely protective of Alice. Of course there would be arguing.
Of course, before Alice, there relationship had been much different. The two of them had been extremely close, having a silent understanding. Jasper liked to still believe that the two of them were close, but he wasn't too sure. He had definitely been a little more on the defense over the past few weeks when he was around Rosalie. Alone or not. It was mainly a precaution, as Jasper didn't want anymore fighting between the two. Rosalie had always been there for him and they had a strong, deep bond because of it. He didn't want to ruin this bond, but there were several bonds he didn't want to ever ruin. Would one have to fail to save another? Jasper wasn't going to dwell on this too much. It wasn't really worth it, was it?
Tapping gently on Rosalie’s door, Jasper waited a moment before twisting the knob and entering the room. Taking a mere step in and then to the side, Jasper relaxed quickly and quietly to lean against the wooden wall. “Hey Rose,” Jasper greeted in a friendly, yet at the same time brotherly, tone. The smile on his lips was gentle, silently telling Rosalie he wanted to make amends. Whether she would figure this out or not he had no idea. “You don’t mind me stopping by, do you?” he asked politely, a large wave of his Southern accent escaping in his voice. He was slowly becoming more relaxed and like his old self, but he still had a ways to go. Hopefully in time he would feel a lot more normal and human, and not so uptight and nervous. That would definitely be nice.
It's short. [/blockquote]

Mrs. Rosalie Hale,, every rose has its thorns -----<--@ Xx Rose skimmed through the papers on the table next to the chair in her and Emmett’s room. Most of it was just trash that they had to do in school and a few of her drawings from art. She pushed the papers off the table into the trash than tied of the small bag. Placing the bag by the edge of the door rose returned to the seat grabbing the clear nail polish of the edge of the table. Pulling her knees to her chest and resting her feet in the seat she ran the nailbrush over her thumb than index fingernail. School today like every other school day was slow and boring. It was like all the years before the same topic and same information.
Xx The house was almost completely empty today since Bella and Edward had gone off hunting together, and Carlisle was at work. Esme was home but was currently occupying her time with some designing plans for the house. Just about everyone knew where Emmett was. He had been down stairs watching a football game all afternoon. Her other brother Jasper was roaming around the house somewhere if he wasn’t in Forks with Alice. She scowled than shook her head. Rose wasn’t going to let that thought upset her day today, she was happy to be home and it was the weekend giving her two free days for shopping. The only days she had free from school were the occasional sunny days that rarely came in Forks.
Xx Laying the nail polish back on the counter, Rose leaned back letting the clear polish dry on their own. The house was quiet besides Emmett arguing with the television down stairs. She figured the team he was rooting for on the football game was loosing. Her eyes opened as she listened the to steps outside her door. Her head lifted from the back of the chair when the knob turned and Jasper stood to the side, against the frame of the door. The two of them had talked recently but their relationship wasn’t nearly as close as it use to be since Alice had come to Forks. She never wanted for their bond to weaken since Jasper was her favorite brother, but he had became very protective over the human girl and things just seemed to turn around.
Xx “Hey Rose.” His greeting was friendly but he seemed uncomfortable leaning against the wall instead of just walking in like he normally did. His tone was the same with a hint of his southern ‘twang’, which always made her laugh a little. Rosalie smiled back, “Hello Jasper,” she greeted him back returning the friendly tone, he seemed nice enough today and she was really in no mood to argue, but would much rather stop the arguing that was constantly being carried on between them. “You don’t mind me stopping by do you?” he was polite but continued with his southern accent, which he only really used or in his drama class when he could use it with around the house out being questioned.
Xx Lowering her heels back to the floor instead of in the seat she repositioned herself in the chair than nodded. “No I don’t mind.” Motioning her hand to the other chair or the small couch on the other side of the room for him to sit in if he wanted to. “Was there anything specific you wanted, or just feel like talking?” He would have a hard time talking with Emmett at the moment and Esme was preoccupied at the moment and it was really easy to get bored when everyone else was out. Crossing her ankles she rested her chin on the palm of her hand waiting for his response.

Jasper was still unsure about going to visit Rosalie--and if he was lucky make amends--but it was the only way to really waste away his day until he could go and visit Alice later on that night. Besides, he didn't want their relationship to drift in the wrong direction. They had always been close, ever since the day he entered the house. It was strange how quickly Rosalie had accepted him, even if she was among the last. Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, and Bella had all been among the first to accept him into the family. Then Edward, and last Rosalie. This bond was what made it all the more easy for the two to pose as twins, and not just because of their appearance. Twins usually had a close bond, didn't they? Rosalie and Jasper certainly had a close bond.
"Hello Jasper," Rosalie had said back in greeting, her tone friendly. Good, so things would start out for the better. She wasn't going to yell at him more about Alice. At least not yet she wasn't. Maybe if he was lucky she wouldn't at all, but he had his share of doubts. But still... "No I don’t mind." Rosalie motioned for him to go sit in the chair or on the couch, and with a quick nod Jasper easily obliged. Sitting in the chair across from Rosalie, he leaned back to the point where he was comfortable enough, bringing a foot up to rest on his other leg, in a normal, boyish manner. He rested an arm on the back of the chair, the other perched so he could rest his head on it if needed. He probably wouldn't, but just incase.
"Was there anything specific you wanted, or just feel like talking?" Rosalie asked and Jasper remained silent for a moment. He could bring up the topic of Alice, but he wasn't really in any mood to argue, so he threw that thought aside. He didn't want to openly tell her he wanted to make amends, that would be a way to bring up the subject of Alice as well. Shaking his head, Jasper let out a soft sigh. "Just feel like talking. I'm bored out of my mind and everyone's busy so I figured I'd come see what you were up to," Jasper said with a shrug, though a faint smile tugged at his lips. Believe it or not, Rosalie was easy for him to talk to. Though he wouldn't leave Bella out as being easy to talk to, Jasper found that he could talk to Rosalie about almost anything. Almost being the key word. Everything outside of Alice was perfectly fine.
The house was relatively quiet, outside of the talking going on between Rosalie and Jasper, the occasional sound of something being rearranged by Esme, and who was to forget the argue Emmett was having with the television. With a chuckle, Jasper shook his head. It wasn't in pity, it was more along the lines of merely humorous. "Only Emmett would have an argue with the television," Jasper said with another chuckle, before stopping and remembering just where he was. "No offense intended, Rose," Jasper quickly added, reassuring his sister that he hadn't meant to sound cruel when talking about her husband. He was merely joking around and keeping the mood light and easy. Something he always tried to make possible. [/blockquote]
