The faded black cover of the completely worn book that Jasper held in his hands practically screamed to be released. Jasper, however, had other intentions. He kept reading, each word making him angrier than the last. By the end of the page, his anger was about to boil over the top. Pausing for a moment, Jasper silently debated whether to go on or not. He was already angry enough, there was no need for him to torture himself with this book and farther. But, on the other hand, it was astonishingly well written, even if it's prime focus was slavery.
Setting the book down, Jasper stood up and ran a hand through his hair. As he looked around the room he found himself frowning at the realization there was nothing left for him to do. It was far to sunny outside to go to school, something he detested. He hated sunny days, and this year there seemed to be more than what he would like to call comfortable. Either something was wrong with the water and the evaporation wasn't exactly going properly, or Alice had brought the sun with her from Phoenix. The first one was logical, of course, but he did like the second for the mere mentioning of Alice.
His Alice. She was extremely petite and breakable, and even after Jasper had warned her that he was dangerous, Alice still didn't mind. She knew that he would never let anything hurt her, and that included himself. It was rather frightening, but Jasper could actually ignore his desire for blood around Alice. Around people that were in his classes, no. It was there and made itself very acknowledged. However around Alice, it wasn't there. He had devoted himself to protecting his pixie, and that's what he would do. Protect her.
Exiting his room in a silent manner, Jasper frowned to himself about something else. Even when in his home, the one place where people didn't care just how many scars he had, he still covered all the skin he could. His black long sleeve sweater certainly didn't go with the weather outside, but weather didn't bother them. A pair of regular blue jeans covered his legs, a hole starting to form in the right knee--this was the result of both him and Emmett trying to kill each other in a wrestling match, seeing as they wore older clothes because it was easiest.
Stopping to look out the window for a moment, Jasper smiled when he saw clouds in the distance. Maybe they could play a game of baseball tonight. As he turned to continue on, Jasper listened in the silent house, looking for nobody in particular. He wanted to find someone, yes, but nobody crossed his mind. As he stopped to listen for a moment, he could hear the sound of Rosalie and Emmett running away from the house, going hunting. It seemed Bella and Edward were doing the same, just in a different direction. Jasper considered going hunting by himself, giving Carlisle and Esme some privacy. Only problem was that Carlisle was still at work.
Jasper nearly flew down the stairs towards the scent of the last Cullen in the house. Esme. She could surely help him survive his boredom. Slowing down once he got closer to the living room, Jasper was at a nice walking pace by the time that he was in the living room. "Hey Esme," Jasper greeted in a friendly tone, a tad bit upset that he couldn't use the proper 'Hello'. All traces of his previous anger were gone, leaving nothing but a cheerful mood. He could control emotions, so he didn't think of it as much of a surprise.
