"I'm not sure about that. I don't dance too frequently, so I may need a refresh on how to," Jasper chuckled. Alice smiled, "Well, that's too bad, Mr. Hale," she responded, smirking, "Because there's a price on dance lessons. Or dance refreshing, as you so like to call it." She laughed, dangling that small bit of bait in front of him. She loved playing around with him like this. It was so innocent, so mischevious, so fun.
Jasper shook his head pitily. Was it towards her? Or towards something else? "I tend to not think about that. Guys who only have that on their mind are players to say the least, and I tend to be committed to a relationship, not use it as if it were nothing," Jasper said quietly. Alice nodded along, unable to keep herself from thinking other things. Before she could stop herself, she heard herself asking, "Have you ever....?" Then she blushed a deep crimson, desperate to find a way to run away and hide in a way that he didn't get offended. "I'm sorry," she apologized, "Um, forget I said that."
Jasper chuckled, "Shot-guns don't scare me. We go hunting and hiking a lot." Alice was instantly intrigued. She went hunting with her father all the time, given the right season. "What do you hunt for?" she asked curiously. Maybe they killed deer or something. She may be a city girl, but there was no way she could turn down deer meat.
"Relax," Jasper said after a moment, and Alice replied with fake chipperness. "Jasper, this is Charlie. The word 'relax' isn't in his vocabulary." When they finally reached the police cruiser, Alice put on the classic sweet-innocent-angel face for Charlie, and asked him sweetly, "Daddy, can Jasper come over later today? I need to look over the homework that I missed, and I kinda need some help." After a few, long moments, Charlie nodded gruffly. Under his breath, it sounded like he said, Kinda old for you, but she simply chose to ignor that.
"See you later, Jazz," Alice smiled, getting into the cruiser. When they left, all Alice could think about was what had happened. He was way too fast to be human, too strong. His skin was cold, and his eyes seemed strangely darker than they were yesterday. Of course, she would try to put it all together when she got home, but it probably wouldn't lead to anything. Her suspicions rose, leaving her with the only choice she seemed to have: She was going to figure out what Jasper was, whether he told her or not.

Alice smiled when he told her he needed to refresh on how to dance. "Well, that's too bad, Mr. Hale," Alice began, smirking. He was going to get her back for that eventually. "Because there's a price on dance lessons. Or dance refreshing, as you so like to call it." She laughed, tormenting him. He smiled along. Two could play at this game. "What kind of price? I'm sure I could pay the price, especially if it involves kissing you," he whispered in her ear, chuckling as he moved his head away again.
"Have you ever....?" Alice blushed deep crimson, desperate for something. Jasper raised an eyebrow at this. "I'm sorry," she said, apologizing. "Um, forget I said that." Jasper's eyebrow remained raised but he shrugged and let the eyebrow fall. "If that's what you want," he said, not minding all to much. He had a secret that he wanted to keep from her in order to protect her, if she didn't want to tell him something she didn't have. to. It was only fair.
"What do you hunt for?" Alice asked, not only intrigued, but curious as well. Jasper shrugged. "Depends. Usually we get deer because it's close and easiest to find. Sometimes we'll go away for a weekend either North towards Alaska or South towards California and hunt for something there. Emmett loves hunting grizzly, and Edward loves hunting mountain lions. Me, I don't really care. You ever go hunting?" Jasper asked, smiling.
"Jasper, this is Charlie. The word 'relax' isn't in his vocabulary." Alice said with fake chipperness. Jasper shrugged. "I was telling you to relax. You're acting like you're going in the back of the cruiser, not the front," Jasper said with a low chuckle. If Alice didn't laugh about it, there would be Hell to pay later. "Daddy, can Jasper come over later today? I need to look over the homework that I missed, and I kinda need some help." The moments ticked away slowly before Chief Swan gruffly nodded. Whether Alice heard her father's next comment or not, he wasn't sure but he definitely had. 'He's kinda old for you' was what he had said, and Jasper would have to agree with him. He 'kinda' was old for Alice.
"See you later, Jazz," Alice said with a smile as she got into the cruiser. Jasper smiled and nodded. "Yeah, I'll see you later," he said with a low chuckle. He waited till they were out of sight before turning and heading back into the hospital. He quickly climbed the stairs, coming off on the correct floor and heading straight for Carlisle's office. He was glad to see Carlisle in his office when he arrived. "Carlisle," Jasper said with a smile. Him and Carlisle certainly had a lot to talk about.
