Jasper nodded, obviously relieved. But Alice hadn't told him the purpose of her questions, had she? - insert muahahahahaha here - She was, admittedly, curious about Jasper and his life, but she was also fascinated in the life of the vampire. Plus, if he could feed off of animals... "Yeah, we feed off animals instead of humans. We're all trying to get it down, and so far only Carlisle has it mastered. That's how he can work at the hospital with all the blood around, it doesn't bother him anymore," Jasper said quietly, and she nodded in response. "So...if I became a...vampire," she experimented the word with herself, "You would be able to help me? With the whole veggie-diet?" She was trying to warm herself up to the idea. And if being a vampire meant that you wouldn't have to kill anybody afterwards, wouldn't it be worth it? To be with Jasper forever?
"It's... unique. And weird, very weird," Jasper chuckled. Alice smiled. "Yes, it does. We don't need a lot of things. We don't need human food, we can't sleep, we don't need to breathe, and we don't need our hearts to beat. We just need blood," Jasper said, suddenly looking rather uncomfortable. She nodded in understanding. She could see how Jasper could worry, how he felt that when he said certain things, she would freeze and run away. Sometimes, however, she felt the same way around him. Two peas in a pod. "Overprotective fool," she chuckled under her breath, "You don't need to worry about scaring me off," she informed him, "It isn't going to work."
"I'm not sure how to answer that question. It's not that I don't believe in Him, it's that I don't really think about religion. I don't let religion influence my judgement on how the world was created or something, nor do I let something like science influence whether God exists or not. It's just one of those unanswerable questions, Alice," Jasper murmured quietly. Alice nodded, "I know what you mean," she agreed, "I try not to let it influence me. But sometimes..." She sighed, "I can't help but wonder, you know?"
Jasper chuckled softly. "I'll try to remember some of it. It's just that, as vampires, all our vampire remembers we remember with clarity. Our human memories, however, fade. And because I don't tend to really think about my human life, well I don't remember any of it really. All I know is that I was an only child, born and raised in Texas. I was always a little tall for my age, which is how I was able to enter the army when I was around sixteen. Because I could pass as someone older, thanks to my height and build. I went through the ranks quickly, thanks to my leading skills. Your ancestor, he helped me on occasion. He was a good guy, that much I can tell you. Very, good guy. I had been helping the women and children get to safety one night when I stumbled across three women. Maria, Nettie, and Lucy. Maria changed me, the other two having issues with containing themselves. The next part of my past, my beginning years as a vampire before I joined the Cullens, I'd rather not talk about. Those were my least favorite years of my life."
Alice nodded, "So Maria was the one who-" But she was cut off. Jasper looked down, gently rolling up part of his sleeve. He moved his hand to the light of the lamp, the scars covering his arms visible. Alice gasped, staring wide-eyed at his arm. Small, cresent-shaped scars covered his arms, paler than the rest of his skin. There were simply too many to count..."Maria did this to you," she whispered, her voice strangely cold. It was not a question, merely a statement. Her heart ached at the sight of his scars, both out of sorrow and anger. She could not take her gaze away from them. Then, suddenly, as if it was of their own accord, Alice found herself kissing his arm. First, the scar closest to his hand, and then down. She kissed every scar she saw, up until she reached the place where his shirt sleeve met his elbow. She looked into his beautiful, golden eyes as she kissed them, and she murmured against his skin. "How many?"

Jasper never had really thought about talking about this with Alice. Telling her he was a vampire and describing it all to her. This was something he had never planned to do. He always hoped he could just keep her safe and out of danger, not discuss this with her. But then again, things didn't always go the way he planned them to go. Or wanted, for that matter. "So...if I became a...vampire," Alice paused, obviously experimenting with the word and herself for a moment. "You would be able to help me? With the whole veggie-diet?" Jasper shrugged, not entirely sure how to answer that one. "Yes, I could help you. But the rest of my family could probably help you more. I still struggle." Jasper looked down after the last part was said. He should be more in control of himself, being the soldier he was. But then again, he had gotten extremely used to human blood.
"Overprotective fool," she chuckled under her breath. "You don't need to worry about scaring me off. It isn't going to work." Jasper smiled softly at Alice, glad she wasn't afraid. She should be and had every reason to be afraid of him, and yet she wasn't. Great. "Yeah, but you need an overprotective fool like me. Danger is attracted to you like you're a magnet, and that isn't a very good thing. It's insanity, to say the least," Jasper mused delicately, not wanting to make Alice mad at him. That was among the last things he wanted. No, Alice being happy was among the many things he wanted most, next to having Alice for all eternity. But what exactly would she say to something like that? Then again, they'd already mused the idea some, though she never said anything good or bad about it.
"I know what you mean. I try not to let it influence me. But sometimes... I can't help but wonder, you know?" Jasper nodded, smiling softly at Alice again. He was going to cheer her up about this, one way or another. "It just really depends on the person. Somebody who is like another Einstein might not believe in God because he can attempt to prove everything wrong with science. Now, somebody who is perhaps a minister or whatnot, they will believe God created the world and what not. The world wasn't created in seven days, which is a point for science. Sometimes science will win a little debate over religion, and others, religion will win over science. I would like to believe he exists, but being a vampire, I'm doomed for Hell when I'm destroyed, aren't I?"
"So Maria was the one who-" Alice had began, stopping when she noticed Jasper's arm. He could only stare at it, his mind lost in thought. Whether he appeared far away or not he wasn't sure. "Maria did this to you," Alice whispered in a cold voice. Jasper let out a sigh, debating how to answer that just right. "Yes, and no. Maria changed me, yes, and practically doomed me for all these scars. But she didn't really create each one of these. Maria was involved in the Newborn Armies mess, and I was a pet for her. Newborn Armies don't last a long time. You change a vampire, and eventually they die. Usually by fighting with each other. If they don't kill each other, they die in battle, or are later destroyed when their newborn strength is useless. I was in charge of destroying all these vampires when their powers went useless and I wasn't in battle. Let's just say, most of them fought back," Jasper said, staring at his arm with distaste.
Jasper froze when Alice began kissing his arm. He could feel her emotions of sorrow and anger, though he made no attempt to change them. He didn't like or want to control Alice, she was her own little person. If she wanted to be angry she could. Though if he knew it was at him he would probably try to calm her, just a little. "How many?" Alice murmured against his skin and Jasper shrugged. Truth be told, he wasn't entirely sure. Saying a thousand may be exaggerating but it would probably decent. All he knew is that he had a lot of scars. "A lot," was all he managed to get out, feeling the rage towards Maria building up inside of him. She had doomed him to this life. And even though he was glad that she had practically led him to Alice, he still hated Maria. He was nowhere near perfection like he could be thanks to her.

Jasper shrugged, "Yes, I could help you. But the rest of my family could probably help you more. I still struggle." Jasper looked down after the last part was said. Alice nodded. With the history that he had told her so far, she could see just how hard it must have been for him. She leaned forward, moving a lock of his beautiful blonde hair from his eyes. "Life's full of struggles, Jasper," she murmured, "What counts is who's there to help you, and how much you help yourself." She remained quiet for a moment, then bit her lower lip nervously. What would he say to her answer? "It sounds like a good idea. For the future, at least." She finally said. But would Jasper want her for that long?
"Yeah, but you need an overprotective fool like me. Danger is attracted to you like you're a magnet, and that isn't a very good thing. It's insanity, to say the least," Jasper mused delicately, as if trying to keep Alice from being angry with him on the subject. She laughed, letting him know that she appreciated his views, "Lord knows I belong in an insane asylum," she muttered, "You know, back in the day, they would have put me in one of those? And earlier than that, I might have been burned on a stake?" She smirked, finding this all rather entertaining. She enjoyed learning about the past, knowing small, fun facts, merely to make people wonder Did they really? It was one of her favorite passtimes.
Jasper nodded, smiling softly at her. I would like to believe he exists, but being a vampire, I'm doomed for Hell when I'm destroyed, aren't I?" He said, and Alice immediately frowned at his last statement. "Don't talk like that," she shook her head, staring into his eyes, "You're not evil. You're not doomed to Hell simply for being what you are. It's not your fault you're a vampire."
Unable to control her mind or her mouth, she asked cheerfully, "You think - given enough practice over time - I could take that bitch?" After a moment of silence, she added quickly, "Excuse the language, but I'm pissed."
Jasper froze when Alice began kissing his arm. Hopefully, he knew what this meant. The fact that she was kissing his scars meant that he was beautiful to her no matter what he looked like, no matter how many scars he had. As she looked up, she noticed that he had a scar just above his left eyebrow. She brought her right hand around until it reached the back of his neck. Slowly, she guided his face forward, and she pressed her lips to that scar, as well. Jasper shrugged, "A lot," was all he managed to get out, and Alice could feel the rage towards Maria building up inside of him. Alice sighed, pressing her forehead against his. She stared into his eyes, her anger almost immediately evaporating as she was consumed by the golden stare. "I'm so sorry," she whispered, pressing her lips against his softly, "I shouldn't have made you tell me that." She laughed quietly, twirling his golden hair in her fingers, "I'm just too nosy for my own good."

Jasper remained absolutely motionless as Alice leaned forward, removing a lock of his honey blonde hair from his eye sight. "Life's full of struggles, Jasper. What counts is who's there to help you, and how much you help yourself." Jasper smiled, nodding in agreement to what Alice said. He understood her words perfectly. In the future, after he has mastered resisting human blood, all that would matter is the people that helped him through it. Jasper frowned when Alice remained quiet for a moment, then bit her lower lip. He gently put one of his cold hands on her cheek, moving his thumb across her lower lip gently, hoping to help her relax. "It sounds like a good idea. For the future, at least." She finally said and Jasper caressed her cheek gently. "Then what are you so worried about?" He inquired, wanting to know what Alice had on her mind.
Jasper felt a wave of relief fly over him when Alice laughed, not being upset by what he said at all. He smiled along with her, completely at ease. For the moment, at least. "Lord knows I belong in an insane asylum. You know, back in the day, they would have put me in one of those? And earlier than that, I might have been burned on a stake?" The smirk on Alice's face told him she enjoyed talking about this, and in an easy matter none the less. "You don't belong in an insane asylum. Then you wouldn't have met me. Which means that you obviously don't belong in one. And yes, I did know that. Of course, if you want me to act like I didn't know that I could," Jasper said with a smirk of his own. He was having far to much fun at the moment.
"Don't talk like that," Alice said, staring at him. Jasper didn't bother looking away or shutting his eyes, not wanting to upset Alice any further than he already had. "You're not evil. You're not doomed to Hell simply for being what you are. It's not your fault you're a vampire." Jasper shrugged in response, not entirely sure what to say. "Alice, I hate disagreeing with you and all, but, yes, I am doomed for Hell. I have killed humans before, and not fighting for my country. Killing them so I could be in control of myself. The rest of my family may not be doomed for Hell, but believe me, I am," Jasper said firmly, letting her silently know his view on the matter wasn't about to change. Only he was really doomed for Hell, having killed many people. Innocent lives were taken just so he could survive. That certainly didn't allow him the pathway to heaven.
"You think - given enough practice over time - I could take that bitch?" Jasper's eyes widened just a little at Alice's language. He never expected her to be so... cruel. It was strange, hearing her curse. After a moment of silence, she added quickly, "Excuse the language, but I'm pissed." Jasper chuckled softly, nodding his head once. "Perhaps. Although I have no intentions of meeting up with Maria again for a very long time." Jasper said, smiling. Personally, he didn't want to see Maria ever again, but if Alice wanted to take her down, he would gladly let her. Just to see what his little pixie could do. And from the mere looks of her, he was already guessing a lot.
Jasper let Alice do as she pleased when she put her hand on the back of his neck. She gently pulled him forward, and Jasper shut his eyes, not sure what she had in store for him. She kissed him gently just above his left eyebrow, and Jasper knew there was a scar there in an instant. Jasper let his eyes open, smiling softly when Alice put their foreheads together. He easily found his hands around her waist, pulling her just a little closer to him. But not so much that it would be uncomfortable for Alice. Lord knew he didn't want Alice to be uncomfortable. Ever. "I'm so sorry," she whispered, pressing her lips against his softly. "I shouldn't have made you tell me that." She laughed quietly, twirling his golden hair in her fingers. "I'm just too nosy for my own good." Jasper chuckled softly, kissing Alice again. "Don't be sorry. You'll be able to see them all one day. They fade in time, but as a vampire it's very easy to see all of them," Jasper frowned, bringing his arm around so he could see the scars. Would Alice still want him when she saw just how many scars covered his body?
((Wow that's long))

[[Yay! I love long posts!]]
Jasper smiled, nodding in agreement to what Alice said. He seemed to truly take what she'd said to heart. Jasper frowned when Alice remained quiet for a moment, then bit her lower lip. He gently put one of his cold hands on her cheek, moving his thumb across her lower lip gently, and she sighed. Nothing could get better than this. Just being with Jasper was enough for her. Jasper caressed her cheek gently. "Then what are you so worried about?" He inquired, and Alice took a deep breath, struggling to calm herself. He could read her too well, far, far too well for her own good. Oh, well. Might as well get it out there. "Would you want me then?" she asked, "Would you be able to deal with me? I mean, I'm talking about a hundred years, several hundred! I'm very annoying. Trust me, A LOT of people agree," she laughed shortly, more out of nerves than amusement.
"You don't belong in an insane asylum. Then you wouldn't have met me. Which means that you obviously don't belong in one. And yes, I did know that. Of course, if you want me to act like I didn't know that I could," Jasper said with a smirk of his own. Alice laughed quietly, reaching forward and shoving his shoulder playfully. "No, you don't have to act like you didn't know," she said, "I'm just a history buff. Well, really a weird-facts-about-history kinda buff." She added, putting on what was supposed to be a thoughtful face. She smiled at him.
Jasper shrugged, and Alice thought it looked to be in a non-chalante way. She could see the truth in his eyes, could tell that he honestly and truly believed what he said. It didn't matter to her. If God didn't let Jasper into heaven, than she would refuse to enter it. Being away from Jasper, especially now. That was what Hell was to her. Alice frowned, knowing that arguing with him would get them nowhere. Instead, she stated matter-of-factly, "Well, if you're bound for Hell, they better make room for one more, 'cause I'm coming with you."
Jasper's eyes widened just a little at Alice's language. Jasper chuckled softly, nodding his head once. "Perhaps. Although I have no intentions of meeting up with Maria again for a very long time." He smiled. She sighed, "Whew. I thought you were going to make me apologize." She smiled, "Hope you know I wouldn't have," she informed him, "I'm PMSing right now, so there's no way I'm apologizing for my behavior. I've got an excuse," she laughed.
Jasper closed his eyes as Alice pulled him towards her. Jasper let his eyes open, smiling softly when Alice put their foreheads together. He easily found his hands around her waist, pulling her just a little closer to him. She wanted so badly to be closer to him, but didn't want to make him feel crowded or anything. Jasper chuckled softly, kissing Alice again. "Don't be sorry. You'll be able to see them all one day. They fade in time, but as a vampire it's very easy to see all of them," Jasper frowned, bringing his arm around so he could see the scars. Alice stared at them for a moment longer, as well, then stared at Jasper. Gently, she murmured, "It doesn't matter to me how many scars you have, Jasper. I love you just the same."
She brought his lips down on hers once more, giving him the only thing she could think of. Jasper would remain Jasper to her, no matter how many scars he had, no matter how many people he said he's harmed. He was hers, and she would take him any way she could get him. She cradled his face in her hands, her lips fitting his perfectly, like two puzzle pieces made for each other. She laid down on her back, pulling him with her, smiling into the kiss as the familiar tingling sensation ran through her, through her veins, into her very bones. She never wanted to this to end, this feeling, this life, Jasper, none of it. She wouldn't change a thing.

Jasper watched as Alice took in a deep breath, struggling to calm herself. He let a wave of calm go from her to him, hoping it'd make her feel better. Then at least she could talk to him a little more relaxed. Or something. "Would you want me then? Would you be able to deal with me? I mean, I'm talking about a hundred years, several hundred! I'm very annoying. Trust me, A LOT of people agree," she laughed lightly at the end and Jasper frowned. That was what this was all about? Whether or not he'd like him in a hundred years, several hundred years. "Alice," he said gently, staring into her eyes. "I will always love you. Nothing will ever change my love for you. Nothing," Jasper assured her, kissing her forehead lightly. "I don't care what other people think. Even if you think or they think you're annoying, to me you're amazing. I will never grow tired of you, or anything about you."
Alice laughed quietly at his joking mood, shoving his shoulder playfully. He just smiled along, glad Alice was happy. "No, you don't have to act like you didn't know. I'm just a history buff. Well, really a weird-facts-about-history kinda buff." She said before putting on what was intended to be a thoughtful face. Jasper laughed, smiling right along with her. "Then tell me more weird facts about history, and I'll tell you what I do and don't know," he said, still smiling. Even if Alice was worried she'd bore him to death with these weird facts, he would still listen. There wasn't a single thing about Alice that could bore him. "Well, if you're bound for Hell, they better make room for one more, 'cause I'm coming with you." Alice stated matter of factly in response to him going to Hell. Jasper chuckled, smiling softly. "I don't know about that Alice. I'd love the company, but I think I would like it more if I knew you were going to heaven, where you deserve to be. But neither of us seem to want to argue about this, so that's fine by me."
"Whew. I thought you were going to make me apologize." She smiled, "Hope you know I wouldn't have," she informed him, "I'm PMSing right now, so there's no way I'm apologizing for my behavior. I've got an excuse," she laughed and Jasper just shook his head with a chuckle. "That's a great reason. Whether I needed to know that or not, well I don't know. At least now I know when you'll be a little touchy every month," Jasper mused delicately. He definitely didn't need her mad at him. No, that was something he just didn't like. Knowing she was upset with him in any way possible. "It doesn't matter to me how many scars you have, Jasper. I love you just the same." she murmured gently and Jasper smiled. She kissed him again and Jasper found himself in love all over again. Only Alice. She laid down on her back, bringing him with her. Jasper easily propped himself up on an elbow so he wouldn't crush Alice. There was no way in Hell he would want this to end, not for a very long time.

Alice was greatful to Jasper. She knew how he was with emotions, and as she felt a wave of calmness wash over her, she smiled at him. "Thanks," she sighed, "I needed that.' Jasper frowned at her worried response. "Alice," he said gently, staring into her eyes. "I will always love you. Nothing will ever change my love for you. Nothing," Jasper assured her, kissing her forehead lightly. Her eyes closed of their own accord. "I don't care what other people think. Even if you think or they think you're annoying, to me you're amazing. I will never grow tired of you, or anything about you." Alice smiled at him, his butterscotch gaze melting her, penetrating her heart with a deliciously painful grip. Had he just said that? She grinned at him, "You love me?" She asked. It was the first time he had said that in her presence, and she loved it. She wanted to hear him say it to her again and again and again. The words sounded so beautiful to her ears.
Jasper laughed, smiling right along with her, "Then tell me more weird facts about history, and I'll tell you what I do and don't know." Alice laughed quietly, "Okay," she said, "Let me think...." She lightly tapped her forefinger to her chin, pretending to choose one. "Do you know that, mere days before Lincoln died, a picture of him fell?" She asked, "A line appeared in the photo, in the exact same spot where he had been shot. No one, not even with today's modern science, knows how to remove that line."
Jasper chuckled, smiling softly. "I don't know about that Alice. I'd love the company, but I think I would like it more if I knew you were going to Heaven, where you deserve to be. But neither of us seem to want to argue about this, so that's fine by me." Alice leaned forward, looking Jasper squarely in the eyes. Their noses almost touching, but not. No part of her was touching him, and she partially hated herself for it. She didn't want one moment to go by without her touching him, but she needed to get her point across. Sitting mere inches away from him felt like they were miles apart. "As long as I'm where you are," she informed him, her voice low, serious, "That is Heaven. And if I was ever forced to be away from you, not to be able to see your face every day. Well, Heaven and angels or not, it would be Hell for me."
Jasper just shook his head with a chuckle. "That's a great reason. Whether I needed to know that or not, well I don't know. At least now I know when you'll be a little touchy every month," Jasper mused delicately, and Alice grinned. "Guys," she shook her head, smirking, "Everything about that subject is a bit too much information for you, isn't it?"
Jasper easily propped himself up on an elbow so he wouldn't crush Alice. He was so gentle, she noted, his body hovered just above hers, their chests barely touching, as if he didn't want to hurt her. She kissed him hungrily, not wanting to let him go. Her hands traveled to his neck, to his hair, as she pulled him closer to her. She didn't want any space between them. His body was hard, cold, perfect. One of her hands slipped from his hair, going back to his neck slowly, then towards the front of his neck, to his chest. She quickly unfastened the first button as quickly and carefully as possible, then-

Jasper relaxed just a little bit more himself, glad his ability was helping Alice. She relaxed easily as if it were the nothing. And Jasper could only help it felt as if it were nothing for her to relax. "Thanks. I needed that.' she said and Jasper chuckled. He nodded in agreement, Alice had definitely needed that. "You love me?" Alice asked grinning, and Jasper couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. Just slightly, though. Hadn't they already discussed this earlier at the hospital? She had been threatening to leave and he had told her he loved her. Whether she remembered or not, Jasper remembered with clear detail. "I told you I loved you earlier, Alice. At the hospital, remember? You were about to leave and I had said that, though not trying to stop you."
"Okay. Let me think...." She lightly tapped her forefinger to her chin, pretending to choose one. "Do you know that, mere days before Lincoln died, a picture of him fell? A line appeared in the photo, in the exact same spot where he had been shot. No one, not even with today's modern science, knows how to remove that line." Jasper smiled along, intrigued. "That was something I didn't know. I was changed before Lincoln died, and when he did I was thoroughly involved in the Newborn Armies mess, which meant I didn't learn about Lincoln's death till I left Maria, so something little and weird like that I wouldn't have known. But it's good to know. Especially if it happened around my time," Jasper said with a smile.
Jasper watched as Alice came extremely close, though not touching him at all. If she didn't want to be touched, he wasn't going to touch her. "As long as I'm where you are," she informed him, her voice low, serious, "That is Heaven. And if I was ever forced to be away from you, not to be able to see your face every day. Well, Heaven and angels or not, it would be Hell for me." Jasper smiled softly, breathing in Alice's scent. He tried to ignore his blood lust that seemed to sky rocket the heartbeat her scent went through his nose. Though it was hardly what somebody would call easy, he somehow managed to ignore it. How, well that he would never be too sure of. It was confusing and weird to say the least. "Then Heaven is extremely nice," Jasper said with a smile.
"Guys," she shook her head, smirking, "Everything about that subject is a bit too much information for you, isn't it?" Jasper chuckled softly, putting his hands up, silently saying he wouldn't take any blame for it. "Hey, at least now I know when to be careful with what I say," he said with a smile. He was slightly glad to know it, no matter how weird it was. Yes, it was a little too much information sometimes, but at least he now knew to be careful.
Jasper could only smile as Alice kissed him hungrily, as if they hadn't kissed in forever. Or they wouldn't be kissing in a while. Though that was hardly the truth. He would be seeing her again tomorrow to take her to a spot in the woods so she could see just what he meant by sparkling. Jasper kept one arm propping himself up, the other gently moving up and down Alice's side. Her hand managed to find it's way to his neck, then to his hair as she pulled him closer. He gently lowered himself a tad bit more, still not wanting to crush tiny Alice. He didn't complain when her hand moved from his hair to his chest, slowly, but still just as sweet. However, it was when she quicly unfastened the first button of his shirt that he pulled away, flying back so he was against the wall. There was a slight thud from the sudden impact, and Jasper froze, relaxing some when he heard Charlie continue snoring in the room across the hall. He looked over at Alice for a second before looking down. What did she have to say?

Jasper chuckled, nodding in agreement. "I told you I loved you earlier, Alice. At the hospital, remember? You were about to leave and I had said that, though not trying to stop you." Jasper informed her, but Alice was quick on her feet. "I know," she replied, smiling at him, "I just like hearing you say it." And with that, she leant forward, kissing the tip of his nose quickly and pulling away.
Now Alice was the one who was intrigued. Newborn Armies? Sounded fascinating. "So, the Newborn Armies," she said, "Was that just the South? Or the whole nation? It sounds like an important part of your history." She noted, trying to keep the subject on the Wars in general, and not on Maria. She'd heard enough about that woman.
Jasper smiled softly, and took a deep breath. "Then Heaven is extremely nice," Jasper said with a smile. Alice smiled as well, nodding in agreement. "Yes," she agreed, "Heaven is very, very nice." "Hey, at least now I know when to be careful with what I say," Jasper chuckled softly, and she laughed along with him. She looked at her clock for a moment, checking the time. 2:33 in the morning. Jasper had been here for a long time, and Alice had barely noticed. Three hours with Jasper felt like three minutes to her. She could spend forever simply talking to him, listening to his voice. He soothed her yet made her restless at the same time. She loved it. She loved him.
Jasper smiled into the kiss, clearly entertained by Alice's little display of affection. She couldn't wait for what happened tomorrow with him. And the next day, and the next... Jasper propped himself up on one arm, while the other ran gently up her side. Waist to ribs, waist to ribs. The friction of his cool hand against her shirt made her smile. She never wanted this to end. He gently lowered himself a tad more, and Alice gladly took the small amount of weight that he offered, sighing. When she quickly unfastened the first button on his shirt, Jasper pulled away, flying back so that he hit the wall with a thud. For a moment they both sat there, listening. Charlie's snores continued, and Jasper seemed to relax a bit, looking at Alice for a moment, then looking down at the ground quickly. She sat up from the bed, her teeth grazing her bottom lip, "I'm sorry," she said, twiddling her fingers as she looked up at him. "Too much, too soon, right?" She asked. She didn't want to make Jasper uncomfortable, but she needed to know. If he wasn't ready, than she would accept it. She would accept anything when it came to Jasper.

Alice had a response the moment he finished his. As crazy as that was, it was explainable. And totally normal. “I know. I just like hearing you say it,” she said, leaning forward to kiss him on the tip of his nose before quickly pulling away. Jasper chuckled softly in response, smiling. “Ah. Well then I guess I’ll have to say it just a tad bit more frequently, won’t I?” Jasper asked with a challenging smirk. Telling Alice he loved her over and over didn’t sound half bad. As long as she said it a few times in return.
“So, the Newborn Armies, was that just the South? Or the whole nation? It sounds like an important part of your history,” Alice inquired, and Jasper knew exactly what she was doing. Keeping the subject on Wars and off Maria. That was perfectly fine by him, Maria wasn’t a topic he was particularly in favor of. Truth be told, it was among his least favorite topics. Though that was easily understandable. “It started in Mexico, and gradually expanded. But yes, it was mainly the South. Though it occurred all over the world, mainly us in the South were at fault,” Jasper said with a shrug, as if he was slightly okay with that. He was just glad the Volturi had stopped it all before he himself died.
“Yes, Heaven is very, very nice,” Alice said in agreement and Jasper smiled. He couldn’t argue with that. All eternity with Alice would be the exact definition of Heaven on Earth for him. Not entirely sure what to say, Jasper merely nodded in agreement, fearing that little conversation had come to a close. Not that he minded too much. Flashing his eyes for a split second in the direction of the clock, Jasper took careful note that it was close to two thirty in the morning. He had been there, talking with Alice for some three hours, though it felt like it had been five minutes. Time flew by in strange ways.
“I’m sorry. Too much, too soon, right?” Alice said and Jasper shook his head. That wasn’t the reason. It was him fearing he would lose control that was the reason. He needed to set up some boundaries when kissing Alice. Breaking the kiss if it ever got to be too much. Yeah, that sounded good. “No. I just need to be a little more careful around you. I don’t want to loose control around you. Ever,” Jasper said, moving back so he was sitting on the edge of her bed. Flicking his eyes in the direction of the clock again, Jasper sighed. “Go to sleep. I’ll stay, I promise. When Charlie comes in, I’ll just hide till he leaves. You need to sleep so you can be fully awake for tomorrow… er I mean today,” Jasper said quietly, pushing Alice gently back so she was laying in her bed again.

Jasper chuckled softly in response, smiling. “Ah. Well then I guess I’ll have to say it just a tad bit more frequently, won’t I?” Jasper asked with a challenging smirk. Alice chuckled softly, leaning forward until their faces were mere inches apart. "I love getting my way," she murmure, smirking. Of course, she was sure she would wind up saying it more frequently than he, she was satisfied. As long as he said it to her was enough for her. "Love you, Jasper," she whispered, the same hint of challenge Jasper had in his smile in her voice. She waited patiently for the response, refusing to allow herself to be nervous. Not now.
“It started in Mexico, and gradually expanded. But yes, it was mainly the South. Though it occurred all over the world, mainly us in the South were at fault,” Jasper said with a shrug, as if he was slightly okay with that. Alice smirked, "Now I know where the expression 'Blame it on Texas, Don't Blame it on Me' started," she teased. Though she knew there must have been more to the story than that, she didn't push. If he wanted to tell her about his past and his history than he would. On his own time.
Jasper shook his head at her question. Wait, what did that mean? Than why had he reacted so strangely? “No. I just need to be a little more careful around you. I don’t want to loose control around you. Ever,” Jasper said, moving back so he was sitting on the edge of her bed. Alice tried not to show the disapointment on her face, though she knew when it came to her true feelings, she was a terrible actress. Especially when around Jasper. She stared up at him, deliberating. Would it be too much to ask at this point? She studied his features carefully, as if memorizing them for future reference. She sighed, frowning as she looked at her clock. He was right; it was really late - er, early - and she needed to get to sleep.
Rolling over so that she was on her side, she looked at him inquiringly. "Jasper, could you...?" She began to ask, but couldn't go on. No, he would definitely say no. Especially after what had just happened. She closed her eyes. Ah, what the hell? "Jasper, could you at least lie down beside me?" She blurted out, then, quickly, she added, "It helps me relax."

Jasper smiled when Alice leaned in, their faces inches apart. What did she have in mind exactly. “I love getting my way,” she murmured, and Jasper smiled. He opened his mouth slightly to say something, but Alice beat him to it. “Love you, Jasper,” she whispered with just a little bit of challenge in her voice. The same amount he had held in his. As if on instinct, Jasper quickly closed the gap between them, kissing Alice yet again. He pulled away for a second, so their faces were the same few inches apart as before. “I think that tells you just how much I love you, doesn’t it?” Jasper questioned quietly with a smirk, before kissing her again.
“Now I know where the expression ‘Blame it on Texas, Don’t Blame it on Me’ started,” Alice teased and Jasper chuckled. Though that definitely wasn’t how the expression originated, it was still funny. “Actually I don’t think that’s the reason. They don’t exactly know we vampires exist. But, who knows. Maybe that is where it started,” Jasper said lightly with a shrug. No need to ruin a perfectly good mood. Especially when the rest of their night had been so good. No, he definitely wasn’t going to ruin this night by saying something upsetting. Whether it upset him or Alice, he wasn’t going to say anything like that.
“Jasper, could you…?” Alice began to ask, but didn’t go on. Jasper raised an eyebrow, waiting patiently. Waiting to see if she was going to ask or not. “Jasper, could you at least lie down beside me?” she blurted out, before quickly adding, “It helps me relax.” Jasper chuckled softly to himself, before moving to lie down gently on Alice’s bed next to her. “What’s next? Sing you to sleep? Or just make you tired through your emotions?” Jasper asked chuckling softly. He would talk softly to her until she fell asleep. Then, he would stay. The only time he would leave was when Charlie got up to go to work. If anything, Jasper could probably run back to the Cullens house and change before coming back. Alice wouldn’t wake up, especially since she’d been up all night. Would she?
It’s short. Sorry.

Jasper quickly closed the gap between them, kissing Alice yet again. Jasper chuckled. “Actually I don’t think that’s the reason. They don’t exactly know we vampires exist. But, who knows. Maybe that is where it started,” Jasper said lightly with a shrug. Alice rolled her eyes with a smile on her face, "Eh, technicalities," she shrugged.
Jasper raised an eyebrow at her, chuckling softly to himself, before moving to lie down gently on Alice’s bed next to her. “What’s next? Sing you to sleep? Or just make you tired through your emotions?” Jasper asked chuckling softly. She shook her head, as he lied down, then turned towards him, burrowing herself into his chest. "No," she sighed, taking in his scent, "This is enough." She then resumed lying beside him, the longer she sat there, the closer she came to sleep. Her eyelids began to feel heavy, and, in order to keep herself awake, she asked him, "Jasper, have you ever...you know?" It was an uncomfortable subject matter, yes, but she needed to know. Including the fact that she didn't want to sleep yet. Was Jasper as inexperienced as she was in this area? Or have the past century and a half been put to good use?
no muse.

Life was that much easier with Alice. But wasn't life easier for somebody when they had a significant other? That seemed like a very reasonable answer. But Jasper would never really say if Alice was his significant other or not until he was sure. Alice had said she had seen him in her visions. And he believed she was his significant other, but nobody could be sure. Not right now. Not yet. No matter how much faith he had in that.
"Yes, but I still enjoy hearing it," she said, kissing him passionately. He chuckled softly at this, smiling into this kiss. It was hard not too, after all it was Alice. Everything about Alice made it hard for him not too smile. "Sounds great. I'll say it more often, even if this does count," he said with a smile, bringing Alice just a tad bit closer to him. He absolutely loved having Alice close to him. Never would he hold anybody as close to him as he held Alice. That just wasn't possible. And it never would be.
"Eh, technicalities," Alice said, shrugging. He chuckled softly again at this, smiling. It was great to know that they were on good terms and smiling. Then again, they usually were on good terms. Sure there were a few problems, but that made a good relationship. And Alice had even stated that she wanted a relationship with it's ups and downs, and that was perfectly fine by Jasper. Having their share of problems. Even if the rest of his family had perfect marriages, he wanted one that had a some down sides. "Stupid technicalities," he said with a chuckle.
Jasper could feel himself grinning, not just smiling actually grinning, as Alice buried herself in his chest. She could easily disappear into him if he wasn't rock solid. Even if that was extremely scary to know. "No. This is enough." Jasper nodded softly, pulling Alice a tad bit closer to him, hoping she would fall asleep faster. She had to get up early, but that wouldn't happen if she didn't fall asleep soon. "Jasper, have you ever...you know?" Alice asked and Jasper blinked several times. He didn't follow, unlike earlier. "Er... no, sorry Alice. It's probably a no, but I'm not sure what you're asking."

Jasper chuckled into the kiss, smiling as he did so. Alice couldn't repress a smile of her own. His lips were so cold, so hard, yet so smooth, and gentle. How was that possible? she wondered silently. "Sounds great. I'll say it more often, even if this does count," he said with a smile, bringing her just a tad bit closer to him. She smiled, her heart fluttering like a hummingbird's wings. "Good," she replied simply, "And I'll be sure to do the same in return," she added as an after thought. She loved the idea of him telling her he loved her, yet enjoyed telling him in turn just as much. She wanted him to know every day that she loved him with all of her being. She could never imagine herself with anyone else.
"Stupid technicalities," he said with a chuckle. Alice was happy that they were on good terms at the moment. They mostly were on a regularly basis, but she found that she could never take it for granted. Sure, they had their quarrels from time to time, but for the most part, it will be over, if only for a day or two. That was the thing about relationships. No matter how perfect they appeared to be, there would always be some underlying conflict, something that pointed out that everyone had flaws, including the so called 'perfect couple'. She smiled for a moment, then, after a moment, a new thought occured to her, making it disappear, for the time being. "Why does Rosalie hate me?" She couldn't stop herself from asking. It had bothered her before, but now that she was alone with Jasper, and able to speak her mind, she wanted to know. What had she done to deserve such hatred from her?
Alice felt, rather than saw, Jasper smile. It made her want to extract herself just to be able to see it, but she stopped herself. She would rather curl into Jasper's cool embrace than interrupt this perfect moment with her nosiness. He should have that particular moment in peace. Jasper nodded at Alice's comment, pulling her closer to him, she sighed, content. When she made her other comment, however, she could taste the awkwardness in the air, most of it probably from her. She blushed deep crimson as he spoke, "Er... no, sorry Alice. It's probably a no, but I'm not sure what you're asking." She flushed an even deeper crimson, greatfull that he was unable to see her expression while her face was buried in his chest. "It's nothing," she mumbled embarrassedly, now the color of a cherry tomato, "Just forget I said anything," she continued, now shutting her eyes forcefully, as if trying to delete the previous scene from his head. How could she ask such a stupid thing? Of course he must have already, he was over a century-and-a-half years old. She should have never asked him, now she would be forced into explaining herself. Ugh. How embarrassing.
lol, she was basically asking if Jasper still had his V-Card. =]
